John Weiss is probably known to most Illinois Route 66 fans as the "Father" of Route 66 in Illinois.
John, along with his late wife Lenore were Steinbeck award winners, the only husband wife team to win the award and the leaders in the promotion, restoration, and preservation
of Route 66 in Illinois, John has wrote 3 books and produced 1 DVD on Route 66 in Illinois, along with many
awards for their work and time promoting Route 66 in Illinois.
It's a pleasure to have John be a big part of this
event, and have the event in the memory of Lenore Weiss, The "Mother" of Route 66 in Illinois.
